胱天蛋白酶14英语:Caspase 14)是一种在人类中由CASP14基因编码的[6][7][8]

胱天蛋白酶14属于胱天蛋白酶家族的成员。胱天蛋白酶的连续激活在细胞凋亡的执行阶段发挥着核心作用。胱天蛋白酶以无活性的酶原形式存在,在保守的天冬氨酸残基处经历蛋白水解加工,产生一大一小两个亚基,然后二聚化形成活性酶。该酶已被证明在体外胱天蛋白酶810加工和激活,而在体内则被抗Fas激动剂抗体或TNF相关凋亡诱导配体加工和激活。这种胱天蛋白酶的表达和加工可能参与角质形成细胞终末分化,这对于皮肤屏障的形成很重要。[8]

根据人类蛋白质图谱英语Human Protein Atlas[9],CASP14蛋白在人类皮肤中富集,主要表达于表皮上层。根据细胞图谱,该蛋白质主要定位于细胞质[10]
