Cá lịch trần, tên khoa học Gymnothorax là một chi cá lịch biển trong họ Cá lịch biển (Muraenidae). Với trên 120 loài, nó là chi đa dạng loài nhất trong họ Muraenidae.
Smith (2012) lưu ý rằng Gymnothorax như công nhận hiện tại là đa ngành, nhưng cảnh báo rằng các nghiên cứu so sánh là cần thiết trước khi thực hiện các phục hồi các danh pháp đồng nghĩa của Gymnothorax.[2]
