Brachyurophis — рід отруйних змій родини аспідових (Elapidae). Представники цього роду є ендеміками Австралії.

Етимологія
Наукова назва роду Brachyurophis походить від сполучення слів дав.-гр. βραχυς — короткий, малий, ουρα — хвіст і οφις — змія[5].
