Plutothrix coelius[3][7] är en stekelart som först beskrevs av Walker 1839. Plutothrix coelius ingår i släktet Plutothrix och familjen puppglanssteklar.[8][9][10] Arten är reproducerande i Sverige.[10] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[8]
