Grimpoteuthis plena[1][2][3][4] är en bläckfiskart som först beskrevs av Addison Emery Verrill 1885. Grimpoteuthis plena ingår i släktet Grimpoteuthis och familjen Opisthoteuthidae.[5][6] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[5]
