Dicamptodon aterrimus[2][4][5][6][7][8] är en groddjursart som först beskrevs av Cope 1868. Dicamptodon aterrimus ingår i släktet Dicamptodon och familjen västliga mullvadssalamandrar.[9][10] IUCN kategoriserar arten globalt som livskraftig.[1] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[9]
