テルマテリナ科（Telmatherinidae）は、トウゴロウイワシ目の科の一つ[1]。メラノタエニア科（Melanotaeniidae）のテルマテリナ亜科（Telmatherininae）として扱う見解もある[1]。5属18種からなる[2]。
概要
インドネシアのスラウェシ島（セレベス島）、パプアニューギニアのミソール島、ワイゲウ島などに分布し、淡水域と汽水域に生息する[3][4]。
体長5cm程度の小さな種が多いが、10cmを超えるものも知られる[3]。英名はオスの帆のような第一背鰭に由来する。背鰭の色はオスはメスに比べて明るい[3]。
