Malaikat Moroni

Malaikat Moroni (/moʊˈroʊnaɪ/^[1]) adalah sesosok malaikat yang dilaporkan oleh Joseph Smith telah mengunjunginya beberapa kali, bermula pada 21 September 1823. Menurut Smith, malaikat tersebut adalah penjaga plakat-plakat emas, yang dikuburkan di bukit Cumorah dekat rumah Smith di barat New York. Umat Orang-orang Kudus Zaman Akhir meyakini bahwa plakat-plakat tersebut adalah bahan sumber untuk Kitab Mormon. Sebagai figur penting dalam teologi gerakan Orang-orang Kudus Zaman Akhir, Moroni tampil menonjol dalam arsitektur dan seni rupa Mormon.
