The Risk is a small rural locality approximately 20 kilometres (12 mi) north-west of Kyogle in the local government area of Kyogle Council, part of the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia.

At the 2016 census, the town recorded a population of 64, with a median age of 39.

The Risk Public School, a small primary school with approximately 30 pupils, is located within the area.[2]
