Singel 39 is a 2019 Dutch romantic comedy film directed by Frank Krom.[1] The film won the Golden Film award after having sold 100,000 tickets.[2][3] The film ranks in sixth place in the top 10 of best visited Dutch films of 2019.[4]
The title song of the film was made by Dutch singer-songwriter Douwe Bob.[2] He also makes an appearance in the film as a waiter.[2]
Plot
Cardiac surgeon Monique (Lies Visschedijk) has centered her life around her work. When extraverted gay artist Max (Waldemar Torenstra) moves in next door they develop a friendship which makes her realise there is more to life than work.[1]
