Molo San Vincenzo Lighthouse (Italian: Faro di Molo San Vincenzo) is an active lighthouse located at the end of the western side to the entrance of the Port of Naples, Campania on the Tyrrhenian Sea.
History
The first lighthouse was built in 1487 under the reign of Ferdinand I of Naples on plan of Luca Bengiamo and was called Torre San Vincenzo, however the lighthouse was damaged in 1495 in the clashes between the Aragonese and the French and rebuilt under Frederick of Naples. In 1624 the lantern was destroyed by fire and the reconstruction, attributed to Pietro De Marino, was completed in 1626. In 1843 a lighthouse, 43 metres (141 ft) high, was built on the Molo Beverello and in 1933 it was destroyed in order to enlarge the harbour.
Description
The current lighthouse was activated in 1916 and consists of a red masonry cylindrical tower, 24 feet (7.3 m) high, with balcony and lantern, mounted on a stone square prism block base. The tower is characterized by three windows framed in white. The lantern, painted in white and the dome in grey metallic, is positioned at 25 metres (82 ft) above sea level and emits three white flashes in a 15 seconds period, visible up to a distance of 22 nautical miles (41 km; 25 mi). The lighthouse is completely automated and is operated by the Marina Militare with the identification code number 2424 E.F.[2]

(c) good but tired talking about her cats - says shes too tired was asleep by 8:30 last night - been very good at home not much b/h -
I agree - (c) has been really tired this week. No hitting. No biting yesterday at all, but over all less frequent but harder. completed exercises well, joined regular class for AM meeting. How did things finish up yesterday? Also, don't forget to send in (c)'s tiger project. To L.S. looking at books. A boy began instigating (c) by covering up words one poem on the wall. For some reason this set (c) off the way "evil wall" did - tearful, obsessively protesting, biting hand hard, when I prevented this, gritting teeth + twisting hands. Really having a hard time. I've seen this kind of reaction a few times now over minor things. Starting centers, (c) still upset had ball-break. Back to work, completed 1 center in time allotted for 3. To speech - working on "TH" sound. Good! back to L.S. doing centers. Completed work. out for recess, see-saw due to mud puddles under swings. Fine; Engaged. Lunch, I used a timer to get her moving. Ate all under the wire. Swimming, great job! (Star) nurse gave noon med - says order was faxed but only for noon med, so she will not give 3:00 dose until she hears otherwise. Was 3:00 discontinued? Back to school - regular class for math. Transitioned well. Good for math.
We'll send in the tiger on Monday. (c) gave it ears earlier in the week- cutting out paper ears was her idea. We still have to give it eyes, and I'll work with her on the "how-to paper."
