Mixtape Pluto is the upcoming tenth studio album by American rapper Future. It is set to be released on September 20, 2024, through Freebandz and Epic Records and marks his first solo release in two years, following I Never Liked You (2022).
Background
On May 8, 2024, Future first hinted towards the release of a mixtape, announcing Mixtape Pluto to be released on May 10.[1] Following the release of We Don't Trust You and We Still Don't Trust You with Metro Boomin, the mixtape would mark his third release of 2024.[2] However, it would eventually turn out to be postponed. In July 2024, producer Southside revealed that he was working on the mixtape and described the work as a "new sound, like a whole new vibe".[3] On September 2, four months after the project was first promised to be released, Future announced in a social media post that the mixtape was "bout to drop" with a snippet of a song titled "Lil Demon" playing as Future turns up to the recording studio.[4] To promote the release, a 30-second video trailer was shared the following week with another song playing in the background.[5] Another snippet titled "South of France" with Travis Scott was shared a few days prior. Future shared the artwork and release date alongside a snippet of a track titled "Too Fast" on September 11.[6] The track listing was revealed on September 17.[7]
