Kate Brooke
British screenwriter
Kate Brooke, Lady Lovegrove is a British screenwriter.
Early life and education
She was educated at Oxford, where she read English. After Oxford, she studied at L'École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq in Paris before setting up her own theatre group in England.[1]
Career
While working in the theatre, she adapted a number of works for the stage,[2] including:
- Graham Greene’s The Tenth Man
- François Mauriac’s Thérèse Desqueyroux
- Guy de Maupassant’s Bel Ami
- Saki’s Beasts and Super-Beasts

Personal life
In 1997, Brooks married Stephen Lovegrove. They have two daughters and live in London. Lovegrove was knighted in 2019 and since then Brooks holds the title of Lady Lovegrove.[3]
