Jegliniec, Suwałki County

54°18′20″N 23°09′11″E / 54.30556°N 23.15306°E / 54.30556; 23.15306Jegliniec ([jɛˈɡliɲɛt͡s]; Lithuanian: Eglinė[1]) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Szypliszki, within Suwałki County, Podlaskie Voivodeship, in north-eastern Poland, close to the border with Lithuania.[2]
Remnants of a Yotvingian fortified settlement are located in this village.[3] The town was founded near the end of the 18th century in Grodno County, Trakai Voivodeship.[4] From 1975 to 1998, it was in Suwałki Voivodeship.
