As a competitive strongman, Iceland's Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson has won 60 national and international competitions out of 104 he did from 2009. 58 of them as an individual competitor while the remaining 2 as a team competitor at World's Strongest Team competition. Having competed more than 100 times, there has been only 5 occasions where he didn't manage a top-5 finish. In addition to his 60 first place wins, he has made it to the podium (1st, 2nd or 3rd place) 85 times.
Following his debut at 2009 Westfjord's Viking competition where he secured 4th place, he never failed to make it to the podium in the National circuit ever again, winning 27 out of 32 national competitions. At the international circuit, Hafþór has competed in 69 competitions across multiple strength federations, making it to the podium 52 times while winning 31 of them, making him the 3rd most decorated Strongman of all-time.
