Bagul or Bagal is a Maharatta clan and a surname. The Bagul clan descends from the Somvanshi Rashtrakuta dynasty of Baglana.[1][2][3][4]

Origin

According to Rudra Kavi's Rashtrudha Vamsham Mahakavyam (1596 AD), the founder of the Bagul principality of Mayugiri belonged to the Rashtrakutas family.
