Šelmberk Castle

The most important monument is the ruin of the Šelmberk Castle. The castle was founded before 1318. In the 16th century, it was rebuilt in the Renaissance style. At the end of the 16th century, it lost its residential function, and fell into disrepair during the 17th century. The main preserved element is the 26 m (85 ft) high bergfried.[5]
