The fourteenth convocation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia (Serbian: Четрнаести сазив Народне скупштине Републике Србије, romanized: Četrnaesti saziv Narodne skupštine Republike Srbije) is the ongoing convocation of the National Assembly of Serbia. It was constituted in the House of the National Assembly on 6 February 2024.
Božić unexpectedly resigned from her positions in the National Assembly on 7 May.[5][6] A day later, the Assembly of Vojvodina elected a new government, in which Božić was chosen as vice president of the government of Vojvodina.[7]
Decision on the election of the president of the National Assembly Ana Brnabić (SNS)
The fourteenth convocation started its constitutive session on 6 February 2024, at which the mandates of the elected members of the National Assembly were confirmed.[9] It continued on 18 March and lasted until 20 March.[10] During the constitutive session, the president of the National Assembly, vice-presidents of the National Assembly, general secretary of the National Assembly, and members of working bodies of the National Assembly were elected.[3][9] Members of permanent parliamentary delegations in international institutions were also elected.[3][9]
After Miloš Vučević was given the mandate to form a government by Aleksandar Vučić, the president of Serbia, the National Assembly elected him and his cabinet at a special session on 2 May.[11] The first extraordinary session of the fourteenth convocation began on 23 July.[12][13] The agenda of the session had 60 points.[12] During the session, Brnabić issued a warning to Aleksandar Jovanović Ćuta.[14]
Legislation
The law on local elections was amended on 23 April under an urgent procedure.[15] 165 voted in favour, while 26 voted against.[16] The law on the unified electoral roll was also amended, with 153 votes in favour, on 10 May.[17][18]
Members
The tables below lists all current and former members of the National Assembly during its fourteenth convocation.[19] The parliamentary group Party of Freedom and Justice (SSP)–Movement of Free Citizens (PSG) was dissolved on 10 April, after all three PSG MPs left the parliamentary group.[20] SSP then created its own parliamentary group, while PSG opted to continue without a parliamentary group.[21]
^Initially the president of the Serbian Left at the beginning of the 14th convocation, Milojičić joined SNS in June 2024.[22]
^Ristić was a member of NPS and its parliamentary group until 12 September 2024, when he was expelled.[40]
